Light, Love, Glue – Helen Paris
I myself am not a leader but can I take this opportunity to encourage others who may be like me, to support their husbands or friends who are leaders.
Towards the end of last year Graeme and I took a couple out to lunch who are walking strongly in their gifting of the Prophetic ministry. The husband, a widower, I knew well but his new wife I did not. At the end of our time together, the wife said to me, “I would like to share this with you – you are Light and Love, you are the glue that holds things together – just because you are a person who is not seen, don’t under estimate your value – you are the GLUE!”
I have thought on this statement a number of times over the months -LIGHT – LOVE – GLUE. I’m sure many of you can relate and take that on board also.
Although I am really enjoying our living in London, participating most days with our family here – life has got quite busy really – I am reminded that our relationship with the Lord and the cultivation of that relationship is vital.
We as an organisation have been asked if we would promote “Micah Challenge International”. I have mentioned this organisation before and the coming event “10. 10. 10” – Christians around the World in Prayer and Promise for the Poor on 10th of October 2010.
Micah Challenge is a global coalition of Christians, holding governments to account for their promise to halve extreme poverty by 2015 and is establishing a global movement to encourage deeper Christian commitment to the poor, and to speak out to leaders to act with justice – read more about this on www.micah2010.org
May I conclude with a prayer from Micah 6 -8
“He has shown you O man what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God “.
May continue to God bless you in everything you do.
