Christian Medical Fellowship in partnership with the Global Leadership Network

GLS Online Experience | Saturday 27 March | 9:30am–1pm

Your Invitation
No matter where your influence is—as a doctor, nurse, manager or other healthcare leader—you are invited to join your peers to learn how to maximise it.

The GLS is your opportunity to access a wealth of leadership insight from a world-class faculty ready to equip and inspire you—no matter where you have influence.

When you engage with others around exceptional leadership content, you gain clarity and confidence to face your challenges and move forward with renewed vision, strength and purpose.

Facing Your Challenges and Opportunities

The belief—leadership matters—is even more evident today. In the face of unprecedented pressures, we know these are particularly stressful times for NHS staff, with many feeling one breath away from burnout. We also know that as Christians we have unique opportunities right now to share the love of Christ in our words and actions.

How do we manage the tensions we face on a daily basis? How do we move past survival mode leadership? How do we lead ourselves and others into a better future?

At CMF, we stand with all Christian health professionals to support and equip you in your work and witness. This is why we are partnering to provide you the Global Leadership Summit this March.

Providing You World-Class Teaching

We have selected 3 world-class speakers who will share their distinct perspectives, inspiring and equipping you with actionable skills that will serve your leadership.

Topics our speakers will dive into:

  • Leading through crisis and ever-changing new realities
  • Breaking through limiting beliefs to flourish in your role
  • Overcoming fear and problematic power dynamics in teams

You will join with others in breakout groups which have been thoughtfully placed in the sessions, so you can have the benefit of great teaching and stimulating group discussions.

Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other Christian health professionals across the country and reserve your ticket today.

Being in NHS leadership at the moment is tough. I’m excited that we at the Christian Medical Fellowship can partner with the Global Leadership Network to bring world-class leadership teaching applied to the NHS. This conference is a unique opportunity to learn, reflect and connect with like-minded Christians in healthcare leadership. I look forward to seeing you there.

Session 1 | Leading Through the Dip

There will be times you hit a ceiling when what you have done in the past isn’t working, and you have to take a risk knowing there might be a downturn in productivity or efficiency to have an upturn.  In this inspiring talk, Craig helps you understand the power of leading with confident uncertainty, unmaking promises, obsessing over the Why, and having the courage to do things that feel like a step backwards to move forward.

Session 2 | Level Up Your Leadership

Looking at the opportunities and challenges facing us every day, we might think it requires the talents and capacity of superheroes to effectively lead our people, our projects, and even ourselves. No matter what your level of leadership is, you soon realise that not everything is under your control even if it is your responsibility. But when you level up your leadership, you are free to lead yourself and others to your greatest capacity, using all your gifts, skills, and talents. This incisive talk will help you take the limits off your leadership and truly level up by asking ourselves some probing questions about what’s happening in your life and what is shaping you.

About Jo Saxton
Born to Nigerian parents and raised in London, England, Jo Saxton brings a multicultural and international perspective to leadership. Amy Edmondson

Session 3 | The Fearless Organisation Demands Psychological Safety

To succeed in an uncertain, fast-moving world, organisations must be fearless to be agile–which means they must build a psychologically-safe environment in which people can learn and grow. In this session, Dr Amy Edmondson shares why psychological safety matters more than ever and how to build it. With so much riding on innovation, creativity and engagement, it is essential to attract, cultivate and retain talented employees–but even more important to ensure they are able to speak up to fully contribute to the enterprise. Amy helps us understand why engagement and candour are required for success and high standards in today’s knowledge economy—she identified the link between psychological safety and high performance, and how leaders can create psychological safety.

About Amy Edmondson
Amy Edmondson has been recognised by the biannual Thinkers50 global list of top management thinkers since 2011. She is the author of four books, including Teaming: How Organisations Learn, Innovate and Compete in the Knowledge Economy, exploring why teamwork is so important in today’s organisations—and why it is so challenging. Her most recent release: The Fearless Organisation: Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace for Learning, Innovation, and Growth offers practical guidance for teams and organisations who are serious about finding success in today’s modern economy.

Christian Medical Fellowship

The Christian Medical Fellowship unites and equips Christian doctors and nurses to live and speak for Jesus Christ. We were formed in 1949 and there are currently 4,000 doctors, 350 nurses and midwives, and 500 medical students as members.

Our aims:

  • Discipleship – to unite Christian healthcare professionals and students in Christ and encourage them to deepen their faith, live like Christ and serve him obediently, particularly through acting competently and with compassion in their clinical practice.
  • Evangelism – to encourage Christian healthcare professionals and students to be witnesses for Christ amongst all those they meet.
  • Mission – to mobilise and support all Christian healthcare professionals and students in serving Christ throughout the world.
  • Values – to promote Christian values in society, especially, but not limited to, the areas of bioethics and healthcare.

CMF is also a founder member of the International Christian Medical and Dental Association which draws together associations of like-minded colleagues in around 100 countries.

As Christian nurses, we have a constant influence on where God has placed us to work—we don’t often think of ourselves as leaders, but we have leadership in every part of what we do. This conference will help us gain insight on developing our leadership skills in an encouraging environment where we can develop those skills together. I look forward to seeing you there.
Sue Holcombe, Advanced Breast Nurse Practitioner, Liverpool

I have been attending the Global Leadership Summit for twenty years and every year as it gets closer I question if I have the time and bandwidth to attend. I am always so thankful that I did! I go and am stimulated, encouraged and inspired by the great teaching and life-transforming application. This is a unique event that combines the best business world thinking with faith-based teaching and application. There is nothing quite like it in the world. Don’t miss it!
